What we do
THE STORY SO FAR
Everything which Maintain Hope does, starts and ends with Children. It is easy to photograph and to measure the infrastructure which we have built. There is no scale to measure the love and care which volunteers have shown. How do you measure the increase in confidence, self-esteem, self-belief, self-respect and hope which has grown in a child who has experienced unconditional, sustained and genuine love for the first time? A child who is given clothes, shoes, relief from pain, a schoolbag. A child who is hugged and held when they wake up screaming. A child who wakes up to a breakfast, drinks clean water, looks forward to meat once a week. These children were born to play and dance and sing and tell their stories.
